About me: Hey, I'm Ayesha and I'm from Karachi, a bustling city next to the Arabian sea that pulsates with life 24/7. As my first sentence has probably hinted at already, cities fascinate me (which is one of the reasons why deciding on UChicago was such a great idea). Really. I've also lived in Dubai, and Manila, Philippines and I've attended american, british and international schools. Therefore, a love of different people, traditions and cultures has been at the forefront of my life, a decisive factor, for as long as I can remember. In the ISA, I have found like-minded people. Truly, that is what ISA is all about- not just accepting diversity, but also celebrating it.

About me: Hello, I'm Yoonah Kim, the Marketing Director of the ISA. I'm a second-year from South Korea, a dynamic country with a rich culture. I grew up mostly in Seoul, the capital which is known as the world's "leading digital city" along with Tokyo. As much as I love my country, I also want to know more about the rest of the world; therefore, I relish visiting different countries during the school breaks and try to master as many languages as I possibly can (I am currently working on Spanish, Japanese, and German). I also enjoy listening to various genres of music from around the world, including jazz, Argentinian tango and Brazilian bossa nova. In terms of favorite food, however, I can't help but sticking to my home ground and favoring Sundubu jjigae, a hot and spicy Korean stew. As a political science major, I dream about becoming the President of South Korea in the future who can realize the more harmonious world by helping the two Korea's to be democratically reunified. Therefore, I am very glad to be part of the ISA board this year whose members strive to promote communication and harmony among international students here through various exciting events. Thus, I want to let you, international students and their associates, know that we the board members of the ISA welcome you to join us for creating a beautiful euphony of different cultures and ethnicities at the University of Chicago!

About me: I am a first-year student aspiring to be a pediatrician. So yes, I'm a pre-med. I come from a city along the Coast of Kenya; Mombasa. I love snow but not the cold that comes with it, the color pink, and redbull. But most important, I love international people, cultures, food, clothes, dances, ...you name it, as long as it's International, I'm bound to love it. I'm a UWC alumnus. About me: Being a secretary of the ISA has been most rewarding and fun experience at the U of C. About me: Hello! I am Ioannis, a first-year student and someday I aspire to major in Economics. Maybe. It really is one of my dreams and I hope that someday it will turn into a reality. I hail from Greece, which is quite far away and much warmer than Chicago and I like pancakes, the Core, iced coffee, noodles and the color fuchsia. About me: Born in Australia, grew up in Hong Kong, went to high school in New Jersey and currently studying in Chicago, I have seen lots of different people from different parts of the world. I am passionate about all kinds of sports - soccer is my favorite and I am also a sprinter in the U of C track and field team. Outside of the classrooms, I love exploring the Chicago downtown and eating in Chinatown.
